Sonairte is a visitor experience which promotes a love of the outdoors, organic produce, eco-awareness and sustainable living. Located at The Ninch, Laytown for 30 years and the centre is run almost entirely by dedicated volunteers.
Situated within a historic Georgian farmstead, Sonairte features a walled organic garden, nature trail and an ancient Rath with views of Ballygarth Castle, the River Nanny estuary and the Irish Sea.
The centre also features a charming Bee Museum and an Energy Education Suite showcasing renewable energy.
Our cafe offers a range of delicious vegetarian and vegan options and our Eco Shop stocks a wide range of organic, zero waste, fair trade and low carbon footprint products.
Sonairte is a great place for a day out for families and educational tours.
