Killineer’s early 19th century Italianate gardens have formal paths descending from terraces and lawns to a woodland garden with walks surrounding picturesque lake and summerhouse. A visit to the 1.5 acres walled garden with vegetables, fruit trees and herbaceous borders is a heavenly delight.
Guided tours of the house and garden are available on following dates:
February 1-20, May 1-15, June 1-10, Aug 10-24, and Heritage Week.
No dogs.
Children must be supervised at all times.
Best month to visit: May for calodendrons and magnolias in flower.
Specimen Holly, the longest single stem example in Ireland.
