Ratoath Garden Centre and Gardens offer an inspiring garden visit not to be missed on the
Boyne Valley Garden trail. With over 2 acres of planted borders, there is nothing like the scale,
scope and quality of planting in any garden centre in Ireland. It’s a real garden heaven for the
keen gardener with an eclectic selection of plants including rare and unusual. The style of
planting is based on the idea ‘if it works, it works. And keep fashion for clothes’! Our borders
include our very popular herbaceous border, mixed borders, a woodland border, a very
impressive prairie border and our new shrub border. We also have a wildlife lily pond.
However, the gardens are not just for the keen gardener, they are a pleasure to stroll around for
all, both young and old alike. And after a leisurely stroll in our gardens why not relax with some
tempting treats in our Wildflower Cafe, or browse around our gift shop? You won’t be
disappointed.
John Lord, the owner who is ‘mad about plants’ can give a ‘talk and walk’ of the gardens to
groups. Just call before to arrange. You can find regular postings of photos of the gardens as
they develop on facebook or check us out on our website at W: ratoathgardencentre.ie
